Poster Preparation Guidelines
Guidelines for preparing and presenting posters at ACM PQQS 2026.
Authors presenting posters at ACM PQQS 2026 should prepare a clear, visually engaging poster summarizing their work.
1. Poster Size and Orientation
- Poster size: A0 — 841 × 1189 mm (33.1 × 46.8 inches)
- Orientation: Portrait
One poster should be prepared for each accepted poster presentation. The poster must not exceed A0 dimensions.
2. Recommended Content
The poster should clearly present:
- Paper/poster title
- Author names and affiliations
- Problem and motivation
- Main idea/approach
- Key technical contributions
- Important results or findings
- Conclusions and/or future directions
- Acknowledgments, where appropriate
The poster should summarize the work rather than reproduce the entire paper.
3. Make It Easy to Read
- Use a large, clearly visible title and sufficiently large fonts.
- Keep text concise and avoid long paragraphs.
- Prefer figures, diagrams, tables, and illustrations over large blocks of text.
- Organize content into clearly identifiable sections.
- Use sufficient whitespace and good contrast.
- Make figures, labels, legends, and axes readable from a reasonable viewing distance.
A viewer should be able to quickly understand: Problem → Approach → Contribution → Key Results → Impact
4. Figures and Accessibility
- Use high-resolution figures suitable for A0 printing. Avoid pixelated graphics and very small labels.
- Use sufficient color contrast and, where possible, avoid relying solely on color to distinguish important information.
5. Optional QR Code
Authors may include a QR code linking to the paper, extended version, project webpage, code/artifact repository, demonstration, video, or other supporting material. The poster should still be understandable without accessing the QR code.
6. Before Printing
Verify that:
- The poster is A0 portrait (841 × 1189 mm / 33.1 × 46.8 inches).
- Title, authors, and affiliations are correct.
- Text and figures are readable at the actual printed size.
- Images have sufficient resolution.
- Nothing is cut off near the edges.
- QR codes and URLs work correctly.
7. Printing and Presentation
- Authors are responsible for printing the poster and bringing it to the conference, unless otherwise communicated by the organizers. Poster boards will be provided on site for mounting posters.
- At least one author should be present during the designated poster session to present the work, answer questions, and interact with attendees.
- Posters should be mounted before the designated session and removed afterward according to the instructions provided at the conference venue.
- For HotCRP upload, submit a digital poster file in PDF or PNG format with size < 600MB. See the Camera-Ready Instructions for full camera-ready requirements.
